Hilary read to four kindergarten classes at Woodside Elementary School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin as part of a county wide initiative by Safe Kids Wood County.
Saint Joseph's Children's Hospital, in partnership with Safe Kids Wood County with partial funding from Children's Miracle Network (CMN), distributed books and materials to 38 kindergarten classes in Wood County, WI . There are two books for every kindergarten classroom. One stays there permanently and the other rotates with a folder of safety checklists and material to each child’s home.
If families are missing any of the safety devices listed on their checklist, they can ask Safe Kids to help purchase the new items for their home.
This program reached nearly 960 students and their families! Thank You Safe Kids!
