How to be a Brecker’s Bunny Buddy!

What lessons have you learned from Brecker Bunny, his bunny friends and his bunny family? We want to hear what you have learned and what you are teaching others!

Email us with your events, stories, letters, pictures, drawings and videos telling us what you have learned and how you are sharing those lessons with others.

We would especially love to see creative ways to teach safety. So, send us your rap, sculpture, skit or book.

Do you have a favorite place or time to read Brecker Bunny stories? Send us a picture of you and your family or class reading Brecker Bunny. The best pictures and ideas will be posted and you will receive an official Brecker Bunny Buddy Certificate!

Ideas from classroom teachers:

  • Give each child their own copy of Brecker Bunny Learns to be Careful! Then have them write 1 thing they learned on the back of the bookmark. Give them a sticker for being a super Bunny Buddy!
  • Use the Notecards to write a note to the Real Brecker Bunny or to thank your local fire department.

Ideas for Elementary Schools:

  • Give each teacher 2 books - 1 for the teacher to use and 1 to circulate among the students. Each night one student will take the book home, read it with somone, and write a safety tip they learned in the journal.
