General Workshops | Women’s Topics | Teens | Service-Based Professionals

Hilary Bilbrey is a certified teacher in both English and Drama and also serves as a Virtues Project ™ facilitator.  She received her graduate degree from Cambridge University, UK and was fortunate to have drama workshops with The Royal Shakespeare Company.  She speaks on several topics including leadership, virtues, personal experience, communication, writing, drama and integrity.  She has had training in 6 Trait Writing, Responsive Design, Love and Logic, Service-Based Learning, various Teen At-risk behaviors among many others. Her motivational keynotes emphasize finding the best in yourself and others.  Hilary believes we all have a story to share, and it is our responsibility to share it.

While Hilary is an accomplished speaker for teens, she often is asked to speak about her family’s personal traumatic burn experience and how they healed. By collaborating to create a children’s book on fire and burn safety her family has not just “dealt” with the physical and emotional pain, but she is using this story for others.

General Workshops:

Living your life with Integrity
Identifying and living your own mission statement. It is possible to be true to you!  It is much easier to make choices in difficult situations when you have decided ahead of time who you are and what you stand for (and what won’t make you fall!).

Creating a Shared Vision
Virtues connect us all, and we don’t even know it. Using virtues and positive ideas to create a better culture in various organizations and schools, Hilary gives real-life case studies to show how we can come together and actually get something accomplished!

Basic Virtues Training
This workshop is designed to give audiences a basic introduction to the five strategies of the Virtues Project™: Speaking a Common Positive Language, Identifying Teachable Moments, Setting Clear Boundaries, Honoring the Spirit and Spiritual Companioning.

Peer Drama Training
Using a unique blend of marketing and drama techniques, Hilary guides teams to build effective social learning dramas.  This results-oriented workshop focuses on leading teens to identify a quantitative goal and create a dramatic program to achieve that goal.

Conflict Resolution
How to use clear boundaries and positive communication to resolve and prevent conflict.  Hilary has used this as a basis for peer mediation, in addition to organizational and team conflict.

Team Building
Using a shared vision and communication style to move an organization or team forward towards a productive and positive environment.

Women’s Topics:

Everyday Women: Learning to take!
This virtue-based workshop helps women, especially mothers, identify ways in which they make a difference and how they can “replenish the emotional well” that sometimes runs dry when always in the “giving mode”.  Emphasis is on honoring the spirit and the gifts each woman has been given.

Healing After Tragedy? It can happen!
Through her own experience, Hilary guides women to understand how “to make it all better”. How to heal as a woman?

Teens

Every Teen Can Lead
Focusing on at-risk teens, this intense presentation touches on topics of integrity, self-branding, planning for the future and becoming their best. By creating their own mission statement and identifying their personal virtues, teens develop their mission statement. Hilary provides tools for effective communication and resiliency to help them live their positive brand…everyday.

Teen Leadership Camp
This is a three day camp which starts with personal branding, team-building and marketing concepts.  Teens have an AODA/ATOD (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse/Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug) topic which they choose to create a year long campaign around.  Students then present this campaign to community leaders and key public officials on the last day.  School advisers are involved and instructed on how to keep the momentum going throughout the year.

Bad Accident…Right Words
You might not realize how your words affect others. Hilary shows participants how by changing a few words can affect those you help in a big way. It is a simple process with everlasting results.
